A/Prof Newby is MRFF Career Development Fellow and Clinical Psychologist at the Black Dog Institute and UNSW. Jill is a leading expert on the technology-based treatment of depression, anxiety and chronic health conditions in adults, and leads a program of research into e-mental health, smartphone apps, and virtual reality interventions.
Her research aims to improve the lives of people living with depression and anxiety and those at risk, through developing new and improved treatments, focusing on holistic approaches to mental health care, and improving access to affordable, effective treatment.
